A Message from Fr. Jason Stone
There are always several parishioners needing prayers for illness, many of them afflicted with a form of cancer. Although medicine has made great strides in treating cancer more successfully and with fewer side effects, the fight is always a challenging one. As there is always a need, it is good for us to remember to pray often for our sick parishioners, especially those with cancer. There is a patron saint for those
suffering with cancer: Saint Peregrine.
Peregrine underwent a severe trial when he developed a cancerous sore on his leg. The night before the operation, Peregrine spent the night in prayer before a crucifix in a hospital chapel. He dreamt at one point there that Christ came down
from the cross and healed his leg. When he woke up, he and his doctors, made the joyful discovery that he was completely cured. Peregrine spent the rest of his
life ministering to the poor and the sick. (Source:https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/cancersaint-st-peregrine-osm-5742)
Saint Peregrine, as a humble Servant of Mary, you experienced human weakness and the pain and suffering of sickness. Knowing that medicine and human knowledge have limits, we pray for all those involved with the medical profession that they will be a true source of healing and comfort to all people.
Like you, we also turn to God in our suffering. Just as Jesus reached out and touched you with His healing hand, we pray that the following sick person(s) will be strengthened in body and spirit and cured of their illness by Jesus Christ through your intercession:
(here mention the name(s) of your sick relatives and friends) In gratitude we pray for all the people of the world that they will come to know you, St. Peregrine, and the love that God has for each of them.
Amen.

Why I chose IC
We asked some parishioners to tell us what drew them to come to Immaculate Conception Parish. Below is one of the parishioners who responded with their story of what brought them to us.
FAITH IN ACTION
Celebrating Stewardship Weekend
What a beautiful weekend at Immaculate Conception Parish!
Our IC children put their faith into action by taking an active role in this weekend's Masses! From greeting parishioners and helping with the collection baskets to bringing up the gifts as a family, our young parishioners shared their time and talents with our church community.
Congratulations to our IC Children's Choir, who sang their first Mass this weekend!
Our children aren't just the future of our Church — they're an important part of our Church TODAY!

National Estate Planning Awareness Week:
Oct. 19-25, 2026
Immaculate Conception Parish invites you to create an estate plan that cares for the people you love and reflects your Catholic faith.
Through our partnership with Catholic Legacy, a ministry of Relevant Radio, we offer free online services to help you get started. Plan the Catholic way by creating these important documents:
Will:Name a guardian for your children and decide who will receive hat you leave behind.
Heathcare Directive:Record your health care decisions in a way that reflects Catholic teaching.
Digital Account Keeper:Organize household details for your loved ones, including recurring bills, key contacts, and child and pet care.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Remembrance Day at IC
Friday, 10/16/26 at 5:30pm
Please join us on Friday, October 16 at 5:30pm at the Memorial to the Unborn (in front of our church) as we pray the rosary in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. This day of remembrance was created to provide support,
education, and awareness for families who have suffered the loss of their child due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, still birth or infant loss. It is estimated that up to 25% of pregnancies end via one of these means, and most families suffer these losses
in silence. Come pray and show support for these families within our parish and beyond.

Religious Education News
Religious Education Families,
This Sunday at the 11:00 AM Mass, we celebrated our 6th Grade Level Family Mass, and what a beautiful morning it was!
It was so wonderful to see some of our 6th Grade ICS families and 6th Grade Religious Education families gathered together for Mass. Even more special was seeing some of our 6th grade students actively participate in the celebration! We had a greeter, four ushers, and a family bring up the gifts. These may seem like simple acts, but they are beautiful ways for our children and families to participate and serve our parish community.
At the heart of our Catholic faith is the Holy Mass and the Eucharist. The Mass is where we come together as the Body of Christ, listen to God’s Word, pray together, and most importantly, receive Jesus in the Eucharist. There is something truly special about families coming together to worship, pray, and grow in their faith side by side.
Our Grade Level Masses are not meant to take away from our normal Saturday or Sunday Mass obligations. Rather, they are an opportunity to come together as a grade-level family and as one parish family. They give us a chance to build relationships & strengthen connections.
Next month’s Family Mass: 8th Grade @ 9:00AM (Commitment Sunday)
