A Message from Fr. Jason Stone
Again this year we are called to be mindful of October as Respect Life Month. This year’s theme reflects on Mary as the Mother of Life.
“When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to tell her that she would conceive and bear a son, Mary responded with her fiat, "May it be done to me according to your word" (Lk 1:38). In becoming the mother of Jesus, Mary becomes the mother of life. Mary's acceptance in this unforeseen human life. moment demonstrates how each of us must welcome the gift of new human life, even when that gift is unexpected or calls us to make sacrifices. Mary's role as the Mother of Life extends from the Annunciation all the way to the Crucifixion.
The life of the Blessed Mother teaches us to respect each human life in every stage and circumstance. Mary is our model for upholding the sanctity of all human life. O Mary, “mother of the living, to you we entrust the cause of life.””

With the help of Our Lady of the Rosary, whom we will celebrate on October 7, may the Lord grant us the grace to see all life as our sign of hope.
Fr. Jason Stone
Mary, Mother of all Life, help us to respect human life from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.
Mary, Mother Most Holy, you sanctified the vocation of motherhood; Pour out your heavenly aid on all mothers and help them to be holy.
Mary, Full of Grace, you had a choice in responding to God’s call; Help us always to say “Yes” to the will of God in our lives, and strive always to do whatever he tells us.
Mary, mother of life, be our inspiration and guide as we journey through this pro-life month, praying and advocating for the protection of all life, from conception to natural death. Amen.

Eucharistic Adoration Sign-In
We have implemented an Adoration sign-in and sign-out process.
With the sign-up links not always being used, it was difficult to know if someone would be present during each hour of Adoration. Our goal now is simply to make sure the Blessed Sacrament is never left alone.
Everyone attending Adoration is now being asked to sign in when you arrive and sign out when you leave. Thank you for your help and for faithfully spending
time with the Blessed Sacrament!
Narthex Collections:
Collecting for PADS
Grundy Area PADS is asking for our assistance. During the 25-26 season 52 Grundy residents requested shelter. Because of lack of funding, PADS was only able to provide shelter for 21 households, (31 total people) for a total of 778 shelter nights - spending a total cost of $33,810. PADS does not receive much grant money but relies on community donations to provide services.
During the month of October the wooden box in the narthex will accept donations. Prayerfully consider helping PADS provide shelter to the homeless during the coldest months of the year.
Make all checks to: Grundy Area PADS and write Emergency Shelter in the memo line.

Pregnancy and Infant Loss
Remembrance Day at IC
Friday, 10/16/26 at 5:30pm
Please join us on Friday, October 16 at 5:30pm at the Memorial to the Unborn (in front of our church) as we pray the rosary in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. This day of remembrance was created to provide support,
education, and awareness for families who have suffered the loss of their child due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, still birth or infant loss. It is estimated that up to 25% of pregnancies end via one of these means, and most families suffer these losses
in silence. Come pray and show support for these families within our parish and beyond.
Respect Life Month
Rosary Leaders Needed
October is the month dedicated to the Rosary. We will be reciting the Rosary before each weekend Mass during the month of October.
We are still in search of Rosary leaders for:
11 a.m. Mass on and 25
The same person can do more than one Mass if they wish. If interested in leading the Rosary, contact Bob Black at blackbob412@comcast.net.
